July 31st, 2008: So.. as it would turn out, I was hired to build various robots for some carnival out there in Japan. Something about a Vocaloid..? It’s a niche thing that’s been immensely popular on the internet for the past few years, thanks to Hatsune Miku. After her release, there was a whole incident where she was almost totally wiped off the internet, and then people made and took their own spins on her, making totally new characters.. it’s been crazy, even if I couldn’t completely wrap my head around it. Well, I decided to put my genius to use, grabbed tons of coffee, and built about eight of them rather quickly. Miku, Teto, Neru, Haku, Rin, Len, Kaito, and Meiko. Honestly, it was quite a fun process and these guys will be kept at a warehouse until the carnival finally opens. But seriously though, seeing all the different artists make up their own characters made me wanna do the same. So then I built a green-haired singer called Kanzen Hoshiko. At the time, the government had requested I built a robot that would be capable of mass destruction and the deadline was rather tight, so I may as well just do both. A singing girl with power enough to threaten the universe.. It couldn’t get anymore ludicrous. But she certainly was the Ultimate Vocaloid that way, I even gave her a stinger tail to absorb others and their energy. Though I can’t just let her use her true potential at a whim so I made the requirement for her to absorb the Vocaloids to achieve perfection. The actual Vocaloids, not the Utauloids and Fanloids. There apparently was a difference between it all. Sincerely, Kaleido.

January 31st, 2009: The hell just happened..? I'm apparently being emailed about reports the night guard had seen of the Vocaloids lurking at night. They shouldn't be active. Nor should they be roaming around the factory, I've been told they were all locked up in different rooms! Also.. the night guard has also claimed that the Vocaloids might be hostile towards him, I highly doubt this as their facial recognition systems shouldn't have any problems. Their facial recognition systems were used to identify criminals and spies, so maybe there might've been a slight miscalculation from the Vocaloid androids. But even then, they shouldn't be able to break free from their cells! So far it seems to only be Miku, Teto, and Neru who have broken out. If the rest of them break out, I'm sure it'll be an absolute nightmare for the guard. Though thankfully there will be people sent out to the factory in the morning the following night to lock them up again and more securely this time. Sincerely, Kaleido.

February 24th, 2009: Well this is just unfortunate. Talk about wasted work too.. they had cancelled the Miku Miku Carnival. Something about the 2008 financial crisis, a lack of mainstream popularity for the Vocaloid brand, safety concerns regarding the robots after the incidents at that warehouse, and copyright issues with different companies, Vocaloid producers, etc.. I honestly couldn’t read out the entire document. And somehow, Hoshiko had snuck out of my garage, went into the warehouse and got destroyed with a remote. I probably shouldn’t worry too much about that, as she could probably regenerate. Hell, I could be writing this and she’d still be on the loose. I’ll have to find her myself when I have the time though. Well now, I’m just hoping my robots don’t get recycled or something like that. Not after I’ve built the newest Vocaloid, Megurine Luka, almost a month prior. I’d rather just have them go unused. However, the document mentioned considering solely concerts with Miku performing as a hologram. Kind of a huge step backwards if you ask me, but I can’t blame them. Sincerely, Kaleido.
